Jesse HENRY, who moved here in February to the Foster farm is recovering from a wrenched and bruised shoulder received on Friday afternoon. Mr. Henry had been cleaning a cistern having a passage way and opening so small that he was unable to raise his arms and come up hand over hand. Mrs. Henry was unable to release him and on securing help the combined efforts of Walter Runion and a passing neighbor were required to extricate Mr. Henry from the cistern his shoulders being injured in his efforts to free himself. - kbz

Funeral services for Jesse A. HENRY were held at the Servies Funeral Home in Wayentown Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. John R. Servies officiated and burial wa sin Freedom Cemetery NE of Waveland. Mr. Henry was a former resident of Waveland. - kbz

WAYNETOWN-- Jesse A. Henry, 67, a farmer of the Waynetown community for 30 years, died at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville Tuesday at 11:57 a. m. He had been a patient there two weeks. He was born in Warren County Dec. 8, 1889, the son of Ephriam and Mary Mitchell Henry. He was married to Dora Bryant in Crawfordsville March 30, 1908. Following his marriage, Mr. Henry farmed near Waveland until 30 years ago when he moved to Waynetown. He was a member of the Christian Union Church near Waynetown and of Waveland Masonic Lodge. Survivors include the wife; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Hughes of Waynetown, Mrs. Olive Smith of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville, Mrs. Peggy Edwards of Park Ridge, Ill., and Mrs. Wandalene Berry of Greensburg; a sister, Mrs. Virgil Bowles of Danville, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Bruner. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, north and east of Waveland on Ind. 234. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. m. Tuesday.
